Carmen’s Haunt’s

There are so many wonderful food and watering joints on the island!  I am going to mention a few of my favorites that, in my opinion, are "can't misses".  I have also included some of my other favorites "haunts".  See if you agree!

Rod and Reel Pier

Best blueberry pancakes, unsurpassed views with possible manatee and dolphin sightings.

Anna Maria Donuts(you create your own)!/home

 Sign of the Mermaid

(Wednesday thru Sunday)

French toast to die for!

Ginny’s and Jane E's at the Old IGA

Paradise Bagels

Owner  Jackie serves up good food all day long...and she caters!

A visit to the island means a visit to The Sandbar for island-y cocktails with pineapple and umbrellas and a light lunch.  Sitting outside and watching the waves peel away on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico is so peaceful and serene it eliminates the need for psychiatric help!

Both are local’s favorites--hamburgers at their best.  But, don't expect to order fries at Duffy’s.  Let us know which one you prefer.

If you are into great food, ambiance and just an all-around fine dining experience

The Beach Bistro is for you—

Careful it is one of our fave's but pricey.

Banana Cabana

Denzel Washington raves about their food!

Sign of the Mermaid

You must try their fabulous appetizers, the complimentary mermaid bread and Chef Andrea’s award winning pies.

The Waterfront

Don’t miss out on their fish tacos and interesting beer selections.

If you’re craving a more simple evening meal:

Hurricane Hanks

Tortilla Bay Southwest Grill

Blue Marlin

If Takeout is on the menu:

Cheryl and Vinnie’s on Pine by all means!  Authentic Italian (order early prepared by order so it takes time-but so worth the wait!)

Authentic Italian from New Jersey (prepared to order so allow plenty of time when you order).

Oma’s Pizza

For true NY style pizza!

On the way to go fishing or sightseeing by boat???

Stop at Jessie’s BP in Holmes Beach for fresh, fast sandwiches to go.  Count on Jessie’s for all your ice needs and…

…fresh, fast and good with picnic fixings.

Eat your ice cream  while gazing out at the beautiful Tampa Bay and Sunshine Skyway Bridge.

Joes Eats and Sweets

Trolley Trolling

An all-time sport here on the island

Our free trolley system is great!  It runs from 6:00AM-11:00PM…Just hop on and off the trolley and stop at what will become one of your favorite watering holes (they are really special after a couple of drinks).  You will have fun, keep everyone safe and enjoy some good music.

While you’re out and about how about some treasure trolling at our local
